New Year-New Car?

So, if you’re like most of us, you didn’t get a new car with a giant red bow on top for Christmas. Not to worry, no doubt, any car dealership would love to sell you a new vehicle for the New Year. And, hey, maybe 2020 is the year to be good to yourself and get the car you’ve always wanted. Treating yourself well may positively impact both your mental and physical health. And, a new vehicle may also affect your image and, in some cases, boost your business or professional life.

Decide what kind of car you are looking to buy:

· Family cars:

Of course, the type of car you end up purchasing depends on your wants and, especially if you have kids, your needs. If you need a vehicle to haul kids and sports equipment back and forth, you will be looking for a mini-van or SUV with room, comfort, and, most of all, safety in mind.

A couple of recommended vehicles for 2020 include both the Kia Telluride and the Honda Odyssey. They both cost around 32 Gs without a lot of bells and whistles.

You may want to stay away from the Ford Explorer in 2020, however, as it has failed some pretty essential safety tests. However, if you’ve got over $50,000 to dedicate to your new wheels, you may want to consider the Ford Explorer Hybrid in the New Year. A little pricey, yes, but think of the money you’ll save on gas.

· Cars good for gas mileage and the environment:

And, speaking of gas, you have a lot of great choices if your goal is to get good gas mileage while keeping your carbon footprint to a minimum. Of course, in the future, we will see many more electric cars and self-driving cars, but we’ll talk more about that another time.

With the Honda Accord Hybrid, you may find yourself paying under 30 thousand for a pretty nice vehicle while simultaneously getting 50 mph on the freeway. Another reasonably priced and reliable ride is the Toyota Camry Hybrid. And, of course, we can’t mention economy or the environment without suggesting a look at a Prius.

· Luxury Vehicles:

But maybe you’ve been really good this year or a rich aunt left you a few million you weren’t expecting. So, why not splurge on the car of your dreams. Check out some of the diverse luxurious choices such as the Mercedes Benz G Class, anything by Lexus, and if you need more of a utility vehicle, you can’t go wrong with the Land Rover.

  • Sports cars:

And, if you’re at the stage where you can sign for a car just for the joy of driving, go for it! If you’ve been dreaming of a sports car, you probably already have one picked out, but a few that continue to get rave reviews to include the Porsche 911, the ever-popular Corvette Stingray, and the slightly more practical Acura NSX.

No matter what car you choose, you’ll want to keep that new car smell and look. We can’t control the smell, but we can keep your vehicle looking its best. If you encounter dings or dents, make sure and give us a call. And, if you buy a car that’s not exactly new, but it’s new to you, don’t let a few imperfections keep you from purchasing a great vehicle. We can make your used car look as good as new.

Whatever you’re driving in 2020, enjoy the ride, and please always drive safely!
